Argentina Opens the Largest Gym in the World Located Inside an Airport
Ezeiza is being transformed through a partnership between SportClub and Aeropuertos Argentina that is redefining the travel experience with pools, strength training, and sustainability — a unique option for travelers who value fitness and wellness.

Ezeiza International Airport marks a global milestone this week with the opening of a new SportClub location: 3,250 m² of fitness, pools, and sustainability that transform any layover into a wellness experience.
It is the first step in an ambitious plan to bring wellness to every airport in the country.
Unprecedented Infrastructure: The Largest Gym in the World Located Inside an Airport
Through an agreement with the leading sports and wellness company, Argentina’s main international airport developed a space that, because of its size and amenities, immediately positioned itself at the forefront globally.

The complex’s features include:
- Total area: it covers 3,250 m², surpassing any other sports facility in airport terminals worldwide.
- Strength training area: more than 1,200 m² equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
- Pools: it includes a heated pool and an outdoor pool, an absolute rarity for an international airport.
- Wellness: it features a solarium area, sauna, and luxury locker rooms.
- Sustainability: the showers run on solar energy, aligning with the terminal’s carbon footprint reduction policies.
According to Aeropuertos Argentina —one of the world’s largest private airport operators, with 35 airports in operation— the gym will be open continuously from 5 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
This opening places Argentina at the forefront of “Active Travel”, a growing trend in airports such as Singapore, Doha, and Munich, where waiting time is turned into an opportunity for health. The difference at Ezeiza lies in its scale: while other airports offer gym corners, here there is a complete airport country club.
A Service for the Community and Travelers
The gym is located within the airport’s vast grounds, specifically in the parking area, allowing convenient access both for travelers in transit and for those arriving by car.

The purpose is to serve the more than 25,000 people who are part of Ezeiza’s airport community, although residents of the Ezeiza and Canning areas, as well as frequent passengers who wish to use the space, will also be able to join.
This opening is part of a broader “passenger experience” trend that already included the MyPod hotel at Ezeiza and the Calm Room for neurodivergent people, along with support services adapted to their needs.
Ezeiza Seeks Comprehensive Comfort
In line with this philosophy, Argentina’s main international airport already offers passengers free services such as open WiFi throughout the terminal, kids’ areas, and pet-friendly spaces for traveling with pets. Inside the airport terminal, passengers can also find more than 20 top-level dining options, a wide variety of retail stores, world-class VIP lounges, and lodging options.
This vision is completed by logistical solutions such as the recently opened Rental Car Hub, with capacity for 350 vehicles and an exclusive shuttle service from the terminals.
With this new sports addition, Ezeiza is consolidating itself not only as a connectivity hub, but also as a premium services destination in its own right.
