After studying a degree in Physical Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid and specializing in Air Physics, he turned his professional career towards communication and the dissemination of meteorological information in different media. He worked as a weatherman at Antena 3 Television between 1999 and 2003, and later began to collaborate in the Radio Nacional de España (RNE) programme “No es un día cualquiera“, with Pepa Fernández, where he worked for 15 consecutive seasons (2004-2019) and continues today (since 2022). His section “El tiempo del tiempo”(The time of weather) was awarded a Mention of Honour in the 2006 edition of the “Science in Action” contest.

He currently combines his work as a meteorologist for Meteored with collaborations in RNE, COPE (he is the weatherman for the veteran agricultural information programme “Agropopular“), La 2 de TVE ("La aventura del saber", "Órbita Laika") and other media. He is one of the founders of ACOMET (Association of Meteorological Communicators) and current vice-secretary of the Board of Directors of AME (Spanish Meteorological Association). He also participated in the XXXI Spanish Antarctic Campaign (2017-2018).

In 2022 he received a “Special #Ecólatras Award“ from Ecovidrio to the collective of weather men and women in the XXIII edition of its Awards.

Since 2013 he has been a consultant to the World Meteorological Organization. He regularly gives conferences, participates in Naukas science dissemination events and publishes articles in magazines such as “Muy Interesante“, where he is currently in charge of the monthly section “Claves climáticas“. To date (April 2023) he has written 10 books on weather and climate. His personal website (www.divulgameteo.es) is one of the reference portals for Meteorology on the Internet.
