Graduated in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication by the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2009, Juanjo Villena has extensive training in meteorology, through courses such as ’A changing climate’ or ’Climate change and sustainable management of territorial resources’, both from the Climatology Laboratory of the University of Alicante.
Passionate about meteorology since he was a child, Juanjo is a specialist in meteorological and environmental communication, and has extensive experience in the media, where he has been reporting since 2007. He started in the Vocento group through Las Provincias TV, as editor and graphic designer of the program ‘Meteo‘. He has worked as a predictor in several local radio stations and as a weather presenter in the Valencian delegation of TVE. He held the position of Administrator and Director of Meteovisión, until he joined our team in 2017, as Editor-in-Chief of Meteored. He currently collaborates with Onda Cero and the newspaper Levante, among others.
In addition, he is the organiser and speaker of reference weather and climate dissemination events, such as those held in Beniarrés since 2013. At the same time, he is a storm chaser and photographer (City of Manises Award 2010).
