Born in Lisbon and having lived in the capital for 27 years, he is currently based in Trás-os-Montes, in northeastern Portugal. Naturally inquisitive and driven by a restless curiosity, he has long been passionate about understanding the world through geography.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography (2012–2015) and a Master’s degree in Physical Geography and Land Planning (2015–2018) from the University of Lisbon, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Cadastre (2023–2024) from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra. His enduring interest in geography may eventually lead him to pursue further academic study, potentially a PhD.
Throughout his career, he has explored multiple dimensions of geography. He began as a lifeguard, where he developed a keen understanding of coastal dynamics. He later moved into the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), taking on roles as a technician, sales representative, and software support specialist. However, the most challenging and rewarding experience has been teaching geography.
He has published articles in various national and international journals over the years, contributing to the dissemination of geographic knowledge.
A geographer at heart since childhood, the world is no stranger to him. Every location presents an opportunity to explore the connections between people and their surroundings. Wherever he goes, he consistently identifies patterns in geography, geomorphology, geology, and the physical and human forces that shape the landscape.
