Helena Mottram graduated with her first degree in BSc Meteorology and Climate at the University of Reading in 2017. She was then trained and worked as a Meteorologist for MeteoGroup UK where she wrote forecasts for media, energy and road clients most notably briefing, writing scripts and updating the website for BBC Weather. Helena then went on to complete her Masters degree in TV Broadcast Journalism from City, University of London where Helena worked as a Researcher on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and as Assistant Producer on BBC 6 and 10 o’clock news.

Helena now works as a freelance journalist which allows her to combine her love of weather, journalism and social media. She has written numerous articles for Glamour magazine and regularly works with MeteoGroup DTN to write weather forecasts and articles for regional and national newspapers. Helena also works as a digital producer for ITV Daytime where she runs and edits content for the social media accounts of Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.

In her spare time Helena runs weather_with_helena, a weather and fashion blog where she posts daily weather forecasts and works as a content creator for brands on social media.
