Flávia built her academic career over the years at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology in 2014, obtained a Master's degree in Meteorology in 2016 and a PhD in Meteorology in 2021, with a specialization in Climate. More recently, she also graduated from the UniBF Faculty with a degree in Mathematics.
She has published several scientific articles in renowned journals, participated in and presented research papers at various congresses, and was a member of the evaluation committee for the defense of course completion papers (TCC). She was also an evaluator of scientific papers presented at congresses and events at UFSM, and a reviewer of a scientific article submitted to the journal Bionatura. She was also a member of the Climate Research Group (GPC) at UFSM, where she prepared and presented climate forecasts for Brazil during quarterly meetings.
