Also known as spathe, it is an undemanding flower that can be grown both in pots and in the garden with ease. Once cut, it behaves differently from all other flowers. Ideal for floral arrangements both fresh and, above all, dried.
Born in 1999, Mattia Sansone attended high school and was part of the school's web editorial team, dealing with environmental, social and cultural issues; in 2018 he obtained his diploma. Following his passions related to nature, atmospheric phenomena and the plant and animal world, in 2021 he graduated in Agricultural Technologies at the University of Bologna and in 2023 in Integrated Sustainability of Agricultural Systems at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During his university career he attended a course in agrometeorology, finding in this subject a perfect synthesis of his interests. He carried out curricular internships in a historic Botanical Garden and in a Forestry Consortium involved in urban forestry projects. The subject of his theses was the protection of ancient agro-zootechnical species, such as the Cornigliese sheep, and the environmental and naturalistic recovery of degraded areas, specifically an abandoned quarry. In accordance with his interests in floriculture, he has developed a thematic guide on the care and domestic cultivation of Cyclamens for the Botanical Garden of the University of Parma.
